These 83 individual paintings were made during an artist residency in Fabriano, Italy at the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana. Nearby Fabriano is a recently-discovered series of caves that I spent time in, taking in the stalactites, stalagmites, wall surfaces, sounds, and claustrophobic but exhilaratingly unfamiliar atmosphere. The caves fed several series of work, from painting to printmaking to 3D multi-media works to ceramic sculpture.
