Non-series Prints

These prints result from fascinations I have from time to time. Ask Mr Gana considers the mystery of Voodoo; Bo shows my love of watching horses as they run; Cleansing Rain shows my hope for the Obama administration. Some of the works reference my love of music, as in Hell Hound on my Trail (Robert Johnson), Visionary (Ray Charles), and Shades (Charles Mingus). I collaborated with poets on some of the prints, including Lines for Massimo with Frances Mayes, Racism, Classism, Sexism with Edward Kleinschmidt Mayes, and Untitled (Distracted) with Doug Lang. Sometimes I have something personal to say in the form of a print, as in The Love Dogs Think It’s Scary to Marry and The Small Rain Wept. And sometimes I’m working on a series in another medium or technique and I make a print that’s related to the series– Big Cave of the Wind, Highlands, Montserrat, and White Sands.
